$42 rate (for electric) includes mandatory online reservation fee but does not include mandatory $7 a day park pass. All sites must be booked online .I believe same day booking is allowed. We really enjoyed our stay here! Really peaceful and quiet - only bird sounds :-) About 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge and 30 minutes from larger stores (Walmart, Home Depot, etc). I made reservations a couple weeks in advance. I had a pull thru site at first and when I changed reservation dates, was put into a back-in site and the rates did not change.
